What Products do CITS offer?
CITS offer and support a range of Herbst Software products, to suit a wide range of business industries. Herbst Software is a complete business management modular based software package, incorporating all aspects of business including order entry, van sales/handhelds, stock control, nominal ledger and payroll. CITS are also authorised resellers of award ESET award winning Antivirus Software.
What size of companies use Herbst Software?
Herbst Software is a comprehensive accounting system suitable for small to medium-size businesses operating in a local or international context. It includes solutions that will serve your needs throughout the lifecycle of your company, even as your requirements grow. We deal with customers ranging from 1 member of staff up to 250.
Can I convert my data from other Software packages?
Yes, converting your data from other software packages is possible using our handy Excel import/export utilities. Your system migration should be easy and hassle free, allowing you to get up and running with Herbst Software as quick as possible.
Is Herbst Software easy to use?
Yes it is extremely easy to use, which helps minimise training and get users up and running quickly. Herbst software interface has been designed with Microsoft users mind, so you the user immediately feels comfortable and in familiar surroundings.
What reporting capabilities are available with Herbst Software?
Herbst Insight comes with a full range of reports as standard, but there is also a full Report Designer built into the system, allowing for bespoke and specific reports to be designed to suit your needs.
Can I assign Multiple Users?
Yes, you can setup unlimited users, each with their own profile. Restrictions can be applied, including what the user can do/see within the system, as well as being able to apply validations/warnings on certain actions, for certain users (ie. Selling below margin, low stock etc). Insight also has a full security log allowing you to keep track of all movement within the system by users.
Is Herbst Software Multi-Company?
Yes, Insight is a multi-company software package, allowing for companies to kept separate. Herbst Software also provide a package called Herbst MCR which allows you to consolidate multiple companies for reporting purposes.
Is Herbst Software Multi-Currency?
Yes, Herbst Software is true Mullti-Currency allowing for complete management and control of your international business.
Can Herbst Software allow for different stock valuation methods?

Is Herbst Software Cloud based?
We have both options available to our customers. Herbst software can be purchased as a cloud based system or as a local server based system.
Are the costs involved yearly amounts or do you pay upfront?
There would be an initial cost when purchasing the software and then there would be a yearly maintenance contract thereafter, which will allow you to receive all updates and improvements that become available.
