Customised IT Solutions Ltd is a management consulting company dedicated to providing easy to use, yet effective accounting and business management software solutions to small and medium sized businesses in Ireland.
Customised IT Solutions was set up to provide our customers with a simple to use, flexible accounting and business management software. CITS provides Accountancy & IT support services that go way beyond simple installation of a new accounts package. Our sister company, Trinity Business Assist LTD, is a booking and payroll specialist company, so you can be sure that we understand your accounting software needs.

Expertise in both accounting and IT areas is not commonly available. CITS combined expertise ensures that companies get the key information to the key people at the right time allowing us to make informed decisions.
We also cast an eye over our customers’ data periodically & use our accountancy & auditing background to highlight any performance indicators that we feel require further attention.
This is particularly useful to companies who may not have an in house qualified accountant on their payroll. We try to provide a “turn key” approach so that you are getting the full benefit of the software in as short a time as possible.

As part of his training to become a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, Killian gained a lot of exposure to various accounting software packages used in Ireland. He could also see how people were using them. In many cases he saw that those software services were being misused and/or mismanaged.
He soon realised that there was a difference between the perceived benefit, prior to purchasing software, and the actual benefits achieved post implementation. This shortfall was primarily down to two things:
- inflexibility of the software
- lack of proper training & support
Many companies had spent large amounts of money on complex systems that they simply never got to grips with.
Killian wanted to provide accounting and business management software that would tell the management, in real time, what their profit was for that day. There was no point in waiting for auditors to come in to tell you that you had a good or a bad year when that year had already passed.
He wanted to give companies live accurate accounting, and bookkeeping, information in a system that was fully customisable to specific users’ needs and then back it up with first rate support services. Decision makers must be trained to understand what the software tells them, and then they can use their own expertise to make informed decisions.
He has found the exact features he was looking for in Herbst Insight, fully integrated, accounting and business management software. This was in 2006 and he has never looked back. Each year the software gets better and better and its base of satisfied customers has been growing steadily.
